Tall Grass

Tall Grass

I love the way the green summer grass
grabs hold of me when I lay on it
warm, firm and soft like
all of you beneath all of me.
I love the glowing Sun god's
hot dry kisses on my face
blazing and burning like
your lips on mine.
I love Notus' feather touch;
honeysuckle southern wind
sending electric shudders down my spine like
your fingers on my thigh.
I want to wallow in this
special golden moment
for minutes and months and maybe,
forever and ever amen.
I want to bask and wallow in
this morning, this minute, this moment, this
millisecond with you
lying in the tall, green summer grass.
