Hubby and I were watching the induction ceremonies of the Boxing Hall of Fame,--mostly to see Mike Tyson speak because who doesn’t want to see Mike Tyson make a speech—and we saw that Silvester Stallone was being inducted for his role as the most famous movie boxer of all time, Rocky Balboa.
Adam stated that though the movies are classic, Rocky wasn’t really very believable as a skilled boxer. He didn’t duck or block well, and there was no fancy footwork. I can’t stand to see people get beat up on, so I’m not the biggest fan of Rocky movies. I am however, a big fan of underdogs.

I’ve seen all of the movies, and as I grew older I realized that "Rocky" isn’t and has never really been about a boxer. Those movies are about a man. They are a tribute to a regular man. Rocky is about life lessons, the ups and downs of life, the large pains, the small pleasures, the hard losses, and the even harder triumphs that every regular man and woman will experience in their lifetime.
